Pushing a Deadline
It would not be natural for me if I wasn't pushing a deadline! Seems that my ah ha moments are lot richer, and more frequent the closer I approach the deadline, well at first blush this is what it would appear to be. I think the reality, that is far more likely, is instead of entertaining a multitude of ideas I'm more brutal in my choices, rejecting everything but the strongest of ideas for a piece.
In this current bout of decison making I've decided that stitching fabrics that have been treated with matte medium is far more exciting, and a whole lot easier, than stitching painted interfacing. There's less glue gobbers, from the manufacturing process for making interfacing, to remove from the needle etc.

New Year House Cleaning
I decided, after I rebuilt my computer last night, that it was time for a little streamlining. I've returned to a simple template in hopes that my blogs will load more quickly. Enjoy.
Apple No. 1 - Blending
Apple No. 1 - Let the Mistakes Begin!!!
Line going across the fabric became very pronounced once I started applying the Shiva Paintstiks (oil bars) to the surface. Click on the pic to see the line better. Suggestions on getting rid of it???
The culprit that caused the line, masking tape on the vinyl, someday I'll learn to look at my surface and make sure there's no tape attached! You can see the line going directly across the fabric, follows the tape beautifully.
Now the twenty million dollar question, do I incorporate the line some how or start over? The line travels across the top third of the apple.

Bye Bye Back Yard
We moved the clothes line poles today and tilled up the area they were inhabiting, it is now garden! Several weeks ago we removed the walkway pavers and the clothesline with lush green lawn will go there instead. In another week I'll be able to remove the remainder of my Hosta's, which will go live in the front yard with the Peonies, and the walkway will go there, and actually be straight making my husband one very happy person!
