I did a test to see if white watercolor paint would show up on a painted surface, much to my delight it did! I’ll machine stitch this piece later this week.
Field at Dusk
Field at Dusk. 9 x 6 inches. Oil bar on watercolor paper.
Decided to break out the oil bars this afternoon and do a little “coloring” as my husband calls it, lol. It was fun to just lay some color down onto some paper and not worry if it would work or not, just explore. He then requested I add some pheasants to the grassy area, which probably won’t happen.
Thinking
I created, and just submitted my new Patreon page for review! In the process of looking for imagery for my account I found this guy hiding in a stack of papers. I’ll be gathering my drawing supplies and clearing my easel so I can create more birds like this Owl for my patrons.

I made this piece several years ago, when I was creating my Prairie Stitched Stories pieces. I like these enough that I'm thinking of creating more of them, only pushing the story aspect further this time.

Found some time to photograph these pieces I created several years ago; each "story" is approximately 11x14 inches. Some numbers are missing, don't ask it was a SMH moment when it came to numbering.
Ink Swatches
I did some ink swatches today where you apply an alcohol drip onto the wet ink. I shall post a much longer blog post tomorrow!
