If the weather, and wind cooperates I'll be streaming from one of my favorite marshes, and am hoping to dig for some clay at one of my favorite spots. Created this piece over the past couple of days using gesso, pastels, charcoal, conte, and graphite on watercolor paper. It measures 6 x 9 inches and is available in my shop!
Preliminary sketches. I'm creating a new series, for an upcoming show in mid-March based upon the colors and textures of local grain bins, silos, and elevators. Some of these structures are very old and are made of wood and other interesting materials.
