yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, in my latest newsletter I said that I was giving up surfacing fabric… well sorta.
What I will no longer be doing, for the foreseeable future, is surface designing yardage, my body simply does not tolerate screen printing larges amount of cloth anymore. Painting small pieces of fabric at my work table is doable.
Starting a new tiny hand stitched piece to work on while relaxing in the evenings.
I lost my yo-yo makers so a friend of mine, Carol Warner Mesimer, offered to send me a replacement. I was pretty excited when they arrived yesterday. I created a video this afternoon, that as soon as it imports off of the camera card I’ll be uploading to YouTube and to my Patreon accounts.
These yo-yo makers, by Clover, are extra small as this was the size I most commonly worked with in years past. I’ll share more images in a second post, and will provide a link to the videos once they are uploaded to the internet.
Well I've been working on my series At the Marsh and somehow this bright and cheerful piece came out of the end of my brush.
It's too cheerful for my current series, which is more somber in tone, so I'm setting it aside to be stitched later. In the meantime I have gobs of stitching to do in anticipation of two solo shows I'm hanging the first week of January.
At the Marsh No.'s 1 & 2 where accepted into Iowa Crafts: 43 at the MacNider in Mason City, Iowa!
The show will be on exhibit from November 3rd, 2017 until January 9th, 2018.
