Part 2 In this video I added detail lines with my micron pens/markers and then a sharpie marker. The caran d'ache water soluble wax pastels leave a waxy surface once dried an acted as a resist when I was using the pens, preventing the ink from staying on the paper. I also added some iridescent watercolor highlights.

Making a Watercolor Field Journal
I'm working on a 4.5 x 12 inch field journal for sketching and painting grasses, forbs, and the like.
Yes, I know I could use one of the field journals that's already on the market, the problem with this is they all have a fold in the middle, when using them vertically. And that fold disrupts my "flow". So make one instead, right?
