Sanity

My dad is driving me crazy, actually to the point of wanting to move to Alaska, and if the price of gas were't too high I just might. He still hasn't moved here, our new target date was to be Thanksgiving weekend. Then he called, can't do it, he wants to stay there. Tonight he called and now he wants to move here, again.

And I wonder why I have a headache.

Watches

I'm discovering that watches, and old time pieces in general, are NOT easy to disassemble. So I've decided that I'll just have to incorporate the whole pocket watch into my pieces. I have about 10 watch cases, that have no face or any parts inside, just glass and the case. These could be quite interesting, if I can ever figure out how to open them.

Mittens

I'm thinking I should make a practice pair of mittens before I cut up all of my felted sweaters. So I've decided that the polar fleece I have can be sacrifice for the cause. Who knows maybe they will turn out great and I'll have more mittens.

I love winter but my hands do get cold, and having pets - two dogs - often means that my gloves and/or mittens tend to get wet. Cold wet hands are NOT fun. Right now my little dog, Angel, is being a goon, she's cute, but a goon none the less.

What to do What to do

I'm torn I have lots of work I must get done, but I really can't do it today. I have a migrane headache, a migrane from hell.

I get one or two a year. I've had this one since Saturday, actually I think it was coming on on Friday and I was just in denial about having one. I thought I was going to die at 5 this morning my head hurt so bad. To say the least the noise and light overload isn't helping any at all.

I should NOT have gone to Lowes, with hubby, yesterday - that place is on noise overload. I was doing much better, until I went there.

Anyway, I'm not sure what or why John took hamburger out of the freezer, for dinner tonight, but I"m changing the menu to something that is a bit more migrane friendly; I'm pretty sure he was thinking spagetti.

Houses

I'll have to go through my pics by I have a much newer, better pic of the house. She has a new roof now, it's dark grey, and the deck has been torn off the east side of the house. The garden shed has been painted a sage green color. The house will be painted next year, hopefully the new attic windows will be in by November.

Laundry Rooms

I think we can safely say that cleaning the laundry room is on my top ten list of things I don't ever want to do again. Well now that it's really cleaned it'll be easier to keep clean. Even the dark creepy places, under the stairwell, are cleaned. Here's a pic of my beautiful white elephant, bugs the husband when I call her that but that's what she is.

And there is nothing like cleaning appliances to reveal all of their mysteries, like the socks that disappear, my moms dinner napkins, the washer must have been exceptionally hungery. Now that they've been pulled out it's time to replace the water hoses to the washer, they are leaking, slowly, but leaking none the less. So maybe it's God's blessing that I got distracted by the mess on the floor, which sent me into cleaning overdrive. Tomorrow we will replace the hoses and spare ourselves a huge mess. We'll take the dryer vent apart tomorrow as well, to see if it needs cleaning, I suspect it does, it's been a year since I cleaned the vent.
